In Vyshenka everything goes its usual way: the inn hums with news, the stove smells of borscht and bread, and everyone knows who is capable of what. But Danylo the Dreamer is certain that a great deed needs only a bold idea, a little noise and faith in oneself.
When one such idea turns into a comic uproar for the whole village, it becomes clear that ahead lie not only laughter and shame, but the first small miracles, new feelings and the thin line between ordinary life and something larger.
The chapters are told in three voices - Ivan the innkeeper, Danylo the Dreamer and Zlata the scribe - and every one of them is free to read on this site in the original Ukrainian.
The novel is written in Ukrainian. An English translation of the novel is not ready yet; the village tales and night tales are already available in English.
